Oculus VR Acquired By Facebook

Facebook announced that they will be acquiring hyper-innovative Oculus VR company for $2 billion in stock and cash. In the announcement, Mark Zuckerberg discusses Facebook’s plans for Oculus, including his intention to use it to create “completely new kinds of experiences”.  He offers that some of these experiences could include a court-side experience at a sports event, a virtual classroom with other students also attending virtually or a doctor’s consultation from anywhere.

An official version of Minecraft for the Oculus Rift has been cancelled because Facebook is too creepy for its creator.
