An incredible new device may just change the way Architects, builders and contractors survey existing conditions forever.
The WalabotDIY device scans through construction materials to find the pipes, wiring and structure hidden inside walls. The advanced 3D imaging sensors can “see” through up to four inches (10 cm) of concrete or drywall and can accurately indicate the depth and location of hidden objects. Home renovators, construction workers and DIY enthusiasts can utilize the data before cutting or drilling into walls to avoid risking the items within.
After pairing with an Android smartdevice (5.0 or higher; no iOS software is available yet), the 3D sensors from Vayyar Imaging (vayyar.com) give the WalabotDIY its amazing capabilities.
WalabotDIY takes the guesswork out of your next renovation or repair project. It makes all kinds of home repair and renovation tasks easier – everything from hanging a gallery wall, mounting shelving, locating a pesky leak or drilling into a wall without the fear of hitting a pipe or electrical wire.

The speed and accuracy of the WalabotDIY is the key to the real utility of the device, allowing users to actively survey entire areas without any cutting any exploratory holes. Using the size and layout of the hidden objects to identify them (straight runs for pipe, curved wiring, etc), documenting the existing conditions is a relatively simple task. Incredibly, the visualization is accurate enough that real-time video can reveal the movement of infestations within walls.
Future updates to the WalabotDIY application will allow new features to be added, expanding the powerful sensor technology. Additional applications will be able to expand the functions to provide for particular jobs.
The WalabotDIY will sell at retail for $299, but early adopters can take advantage of a special, limited time $199 USD introductory launch price. To order WalabotDIY or learn more, visit walabot.com/diy.
